It was a matter of Enjoyment and Rejuvenation when
we opted to join Ambazari Parikrama organized by Maharashtra Times. Surely it
was a joy of early Morning walk {5.00 am is early Morning}, but a matter of
worry arises when you observe a destroyed environment. It was a joy for sure
that you are walking with a group of unknown people and taking sips of the
beauty of the environment, but what if there you see destroyed environment,
died fished, disturbed water levels, dried lake and no scope of greenery at
all. One person cannot change the scene but can we be united and do that?
A small step of request that we do not require
amusement parks but an intact forest landscape (IFL) which will be an unbroken
natural landscape of a forest ecosystem. This will be the best place to visit
as a tourist or a morning walker or an environment lover. This will attract
birds and so many good things. Why not to appeal then, as those who are reading
it can enjoy the current situation but the next generation will not be able to
see it, what forest is and how the environment supports rain, water, fishes, us
and everything !!
It seems an emotional step that I wrote a post and
published it on Facebook and other Social Media. People say what
will you do, it is not even your topic. You cannot do anything and it is all a
political area where they have their wasted interest. I say, Oh Okay. Let them
all have all their interests, let all get profited by this but just give one
thought. Today they will, but what about their next generation? Let they earn
but let them think also that they also have a generation to face. With all this
development they have a responsibility towards the environment too. The
environment is also an asset which is movable and destroyable. This can give
them a lot but at a stroke has the power to take everything
back. What this means then? What is the matter? And why all should
think about it?
Fact is why we should think about it. We think that
am I that only person who will bring change or make the environment proper. I
am not the one who can be revolutionary, so why should I think for the environment
then? Now the Question is. If everybody thinks on these grounds then who will
bring change? Leave it, not to bring change but to keep existing. One point
just as a food for thought, “do you agree that the environment and greenery you
enjoyed during your childhood, is still the same? Or what you are seeing new
will be the same for your next generation.” Think, just being honest,
irrespective of your age give the answer to yourself. If your answer does not
pinch you, then you are the luckiest person of this environmental
system.
On June 5th like every year many
have celebrated the world and the most important aspect of the activity
performed. What? Uploads on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Isn't it? That
plant only knows how many of them will go back to it again and water
them. Then why to murder them. Just for sake of glamour or
publicity or a post exam marks? That plant was happy in a nursery
and getting watered too. If I am bringing it from a nursery not watering it
then I am killing that creature. It must have said, Wait for the rain first at
least, then relocate me, I will survive, but do not
rush for photographs. Oh, not only this, we share or forward a number
of messages to save the tree but how many of us
water only one at least thrice a week. Anyways it’s all about different liking
but it is a matter of concern that if we don’t then how the next generation
will, and then further will understand the importance of tree, environment and
saving an environment.
At the middle of the city Nagpur if Ambazari Lake
has a pathetic condition then what about the other water sources. Came to know
about Gorewada Lake too which is again in the middle of the City. Two major
lakes were going through a rough patch of their existence. This is how we have
seen; many have observed various such situations and locations. In summers
there is no water, we face droughts whereas in Rains we face floods just within
two or three sessions of rain. Why this? Water during rain is passing by
killing people and going to the place where it should be, lakhs of ltrs are
total waste and then comes summers where starvations of plants and human takes
place. Can we think once? Observe once?
We took photos celebrating environment day, posted
on status, received comments, and after 24 hours, photos are gone and the
thought for the environment too. Isn’t It?!!
Everyone can accept that one person alone cannot do
anything to the huge devastation of whatever sources of nature we see. But a
small effort of feeling responsible can make a huge difference in years to
come. “I am too responsible to save the air I breathe” this thought itself has
the power to initiate a change.
There are institutions like Raisoni Group who feels
the responsibility and accept the ideas that supporting to environmental
sustainability is a need of an hour for the era to come. The activity which RGI
did on environment day is now taking shape. Just collecting the seeds of mango
from all its institutions gave an experience of donating to the givers of mango
seeds and now they have been sowed after the first rain. The land is given to
the activity by Chairman Mr. Sunil Raisoni. No one knows which seed will
successfully become a fruit ripping tree but only one idea been formed that
every seed has a capacity to produce a tree. It is up to us how we treat that.
These seeds will surely germinate and responsibility to make them a tree is
been accepted by RGI. Even if it does not bear a fruit but it will add a value
to the sustainability of an environment.
Anyways, every one of us can see the number of
videos on YouTube regarding loss and precaution to be taken, Number of videos
requesting to save the environment with various messages in it. But how long
they capture our mind and how I respond to what I see and observe on my own. Just
one thing to share, If each one of us accepts that I Too Have a Responsibility,
then change will surely take shape. Think on the point and analyze what I can
do? Every I has a power. Every one of us will get some or the other answer.
Something, which is very near to us and can be a doable one. Think and Act.
Let’s try to bring change.
