As we observed Women's Day on 8^th March, as usual, the cloud of thoughts burst and the echoes of ancient Indian mythology started appearing again to resonate through time, offering timeless stories that highlight the strength and resilience of women. The tales of Ahilya, Draupadi, Sita, Tara, and Mandodari, captured in the ancient verse, "अहिल्या द्रौपदी सीता तारा मंदोदरी तथा । पञ्चकं ना स्मरेन्नित्यं महापातकनाशनम् ।।" remind us of the challenges women have faced and continue to overcome, their struggles woven into the fabric of our collective consciousness.

Ahilya's unwavering loyalty to her husband, the sage Gautama, exemplifies the virtue of commitment, a testament to the depths of a woman's love and devotion. Draupadi's courage in demanding justice challenged societal norms and taught us that every woman's voice matters, echoing through the ages as a clarion call for equality and respect.

However, if we find ourselves in an environment or circumstances (E) that don't nurture or support those capabilities, our personal fulfilment and potential achieved (P) will be diminished, much like a Rolls Royce forced to navigate through a junkyard.

On the other hand, when our individual capabilities (C) are aligned with an environment or circumstances (E) that celebrate and foster those abilities, we experience a profound sense of purpose and meaning. It's like a Rolls Royce effortlessly gliding on the finest roads, its performance and integrity intact, its true potential realized.

Recognizing the interplay between these factors, another equation to capture the motivational aspect of this journey can be:

M = Q × (C - E)

Where:

M = Motivation and Drive

Q = Quality of Life

C = Individual Capabilities

E = Environmental Constraints

This equation suggests that our motivation and drive (M) to pursue our dreams and aspirations are fuelled by the product of our quality of life (Q) and the difference between our individual capabilities (C) and the environmental constraints (E) we face.

When our capabilities (C) exceed the constraints (E), our motivation and drive (M) are amplified, propelling us forward with a sense of purpose and determination. However, if the constraints (E) outweigh our capabilities (C), our motivation and drive (M) can be diminished, much like a Rolls Royce's performance being hindered by unsuitable conditions.

Ultimately, these equations and the profound message they represent serve as a call to action, urging us to embrace our self-worth and actively seek out circumstances that align with our true potential.
