Salute to Indian armed forces.

Indian army is world’s third largest and its soldiers are considered best in high altitude battles. Armed Forces in our country consist of mainly four professional uniformed services: The Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian coast guard that we all know. We call it defense forces. What these forces do for us? Do we recognize their role? Why the soldier is there without any relation of theirs which us? Many call it their duty. Many think that this is the option they had.

We are talking about well-trained, disciplined, experienced and motivated team of human resources, who are handpicked after being tested for their mental and physical abilities, went through years of rigorous training, have led large teams, and are battle hardened leaders who are forced to think on their feet, take decisions, give directions, in situations where the consequence of error is loss of life. This is encouraged by the Armed Force to stay young and agile.

Why should anyone go for a career full of hostility and risk that will eventually handover insufficient pension and retire you at the prime of your age, and all this for a society that does not even care to give you a fair chance to be a part of it? But think for some time. That deciding to join armed forces requires or can say needs a quality and essential requirements to join. Any xyz cannot just decides and joins the forces .The eligibility the courage and the will power all work together for an aspirant to become a part of Indian army forces. It is not the matter of gut but the matter of willingness to serve. It is a matter of desire and aspiration to join one of the most prestigious and respected careers in the country.

Doing stunts on road became a fashion now a day, up to a limit enjoyment is also okay to accept. Why not to think then to put all these effort to achieve the high level of the most dignified profession of the country. Youngsters can fulfill all their professional expectations by choosing a career of challenges, excitement, and adventure as an officer in defense. One more thing they must carry with them, a passion to serve to the nation and pride that they are serving to the Nation. It is a matter of personal satisfaction when you have decided to serve to the nation through joining the armed forces. By giving life to the edge of the risk, saving lives and making them better and secure offers a great satisfaction.

Leave all the facilities aside that people talk about but aren’t that worth, that you are giving your life to nation. You even don’t know that from the battlefield will I be able to go back home and stay will my family again or not. Don’t you think so? You are not my relative but you are of my nation you are a part of my nation and I am fighting for your safety must be nothing but a satisfaction to perform that duty. If you want excitement and challenges, then armed forces can meet all your professional expectations. Just one thing is required… respect for the country and for the self. Once you achieve it, you will never miss to Salute the Armed Forces of the Nation. Think about - A service of a total devotion, pure sacrifice, an honor and prestige.  

I learnt about Nagpur in 2019

Art and culture are the integral part of any civilization. It has been revered as medium of expression and entertainment. Since long in India, we have seen that it’s Art and culture which describes the different thread that weaves together the fabric of society and our nation. It is all about shared identity of our rich heritage. The history, the culture of India is not limited to one part. Every state and city of India is actually having this heritage as an asset. Many cities of India are now working on enhancing this with the various efforts and initiatives. With these initiatives the city not only adds to the culture and Art enrichment but also attracts tourism and interest of various groups from all areas. Cities like Bhopal, Mumbai, Jaipur, Pune, Delhi, Goa, etc. we can name with the events that attracts people from all the areas including tourists for the history and places of rejuvenation.

I am delighted to talk about it. In a capacity of project head here in Raisoni Group, I got an opportunity to research about this area in Nagpur. Rejuvenating Nagpur through art and culture. I thank Mr. Sunil Raisoni for giving me an opportunity to learn With two Sec 8 Companies, G H Raisoni Sports & Cultural Foundation and SGR Knowledge Foundation respectively, we are working on the aspect of socio-cultural enhancement in our society. It is not like we have not faced problems… there are so many, but to be very honest, when we talk about making our city a real smart, then we have to work on various aspects which include developments such as major technological innovations, new methods of conservation and preservation of heritage. We need to reevaluate our greatest soft power and bring forth new systems of highlighting art and culture. We can actually position Nagpur as a culturally equipped city. Where we need to work on… is to unleash the potential of our city in respect to the participation of all to make such initiatives successful. So that, the people organizing it can feel satisfied that they did something in the city. Organizer fails when public participation is nothing more than the ignorance towards what is being organized.

After our personal experience in Nagpur with our cultural and social programs, we can see that people are interested and they too want such initiatives. Orange City Literature festival explored the possibilities to be one of the cities in India, those which are known for the literature and such festivals. The participation of youth and the general public of all age groups showed that in Nagpur too this works and we too need it. In the coming years, the Orange City Literature Festival too will attract a huge number of art and culture lovers every year like Jaipur, the pink city. A simple concept is, the role of citizen engagement in creating city identity is vital.

Every city has a story to tell. Nagpur is now becoming one of it. I remember, when we were in schools and then colleges, we were unable to see such Art and cultural activities. Whereas, maybe we were unable to reach to such but now we can see the enhancing interest of citizen where we can now see the developing interest of social and other groups too which were somewhere disconnected before. It is very important to instill the interest and sense of pride in public space. Like every city, Nagpur has its unique quality in building its own identity. Now a day, we can witness so many classical vocal music programs, expert talks, various concept events and so much to cater the interest of different age groups and individuals. We must thank to all the initiators who took efforts to enhance the art and culture in the city. We can now see that promotion of art and cultural to create distinctive city identity has become a widespread practice for our Nagpur too.

We are very fortunate that we are in the center of the country and we can become a heart of it with such initiatives. We can witness the good happening in Nagpur and we are also lucky, that like other cities we need not require to travel a lot to reach somewhere. We are in a very comfortable and well-connected city. People are very supportive and we are fortunate that we have various groups and initiators who come up with so many good programs like music, dance, dramas, especially different language group that are organizing various festivals to cater to the members of society. Activities like Marathons Walkathons, Cyclothons, and Happy Street provides an open platform for health and rejuvenation and instills the positive vibe in participants. The responses we get, says that how much people want it. Major point arises is participation, why few get it and other do not? Point is, we need to generate that need in people to be a part of it.

In comparison to other cities, people in Nagpur are still craving less for the things they appreciate, they praise. Still the feeling of yes, this is a way of life and this can play a major role in rejuvenation is yet to raise its head. We have very good artists here; artists from all over India are interested to come here. Events like HCL Concerts, Khasdar Mahotsav and Orange City Literature Festival proves that. Nagpur is enriching with such initiatives and surely innovative public, private partnership will enhance it more. Action groups are getting formed to formulate and to drive such initiatives in art, literary and culture in the city. All media in Nagpur is providing vital support to take the city in main frame of such things. The feeling of, my city has that enriched culture and such awesome thing happens here, will itself change the perspective of looking at it. This will in due course of time will also support to creating a platform for local heritage centers, historical tours, community craft centers and will also provide jobs in local communities.

I am proud to be Nagpurian, will come only if I identify the positive and cultural ecosystem of my city. Nagpur can become a platform for showcasing Art and culture, surely in due course, policy related support will also be there and city branding will take place.
